Interaction light is still blinking, but it will not update the main unit or import export data, any ideas.!??!!? this is pissing me off.

Edit:

This problem is easily fixed by a software reinstall. Sorry for all the complaining.

SO i think i want to get emanage for my crap. What accessories are recommended to get for the 4g15?

So far im thinking Emanage, Support tool and Injector harness?

what exactly does the injector harness do?

also, do i need to get the pressure sensor + harness ( i have a missing link )?

the injector harness allows you to control the injectors also allowing you to add 2 additional injectors if wanted. the differenece is that you can tune more finely with this versus safc, due to the 16x16 map (as you can see in previous posts)

you should also look into getting the ignition harness, as that allows you to control the ignition timing

the pressure sensor allows you to tune your fuel maps using primarily the boost instead of the cars airflow, they say its best to try to tune w/out using it to see if you're maxing out the stock airflow, the harness simply connects the sensor to the emanage.
however, if you have a boost gauge, you can use your harness to tap into the boost gauge sensor, thus making the pressure sensor not need.(saving 100 or so)

the ignition harness for the 4g15 is only 2 wires, being due to the fact we have a distributer.

you can make a harness for cheap (ie. 50 cents), unless you find the whole package like i did on ebay for 300.

red constant flashing = error. you need to enter check mode to get the code.

just turn your car off. then turn it to "on" don't start. then read the code like you did before..

slow pulses are first digit, fast pulses are second digit

example. 3 fast 5 slow is code 35

i'm not sure that everything is right, but at idle, the active light is flashing green. When the emanage is making an adjustment. it's orange. when it's not. it's solid green.

my interaction light is always flashing now too. not sure why, but everything works so i don't give a crap.

NEW Information**

If you get any kinda of injector pulse error, the first place to check is your injector ground.

I'm putting together a how-to. Stay Tuned for that.

ok ppl as a few ppl know i've had a problem with my emanage coding 24 is no injector 4 pulse. i went by the wiring colors picture post on page 2 of this post as my guide for wiring my injectors. i spent 2 weeks trying to find out what the damn problem was. i was lucky to find out there was a emanage authorized installer here in SA thank goodness for Tim at maximum velocity here in town. i ended up paying out 85 bucks to find out that the wiring diagram here may work on other cars but not on my 97 1.8 coupe. here's the fix that worked on mine.

injector #1 blue/red wire
injector #2 orange/red
injector #3 yellow/red
injector #4 pink/red
i've driven over 125 miles today and no code 24 hope this keeps anybody else from having my problem and happy boosting guys.

The prob with the injector harness is that it comes seperate from the main plugg that goes into the emangle, so the colours can be different because it depends what is put where :? I know on mine the wire colours are different but ultimatly they go to the same point on the ecu(if that makes sense) so using wire colour as a refrance might not always be a good thing, but you will generaly find that all the othe harnesses come pre fitted in the emangle plug so no troubles there :D

the thing was that the plug was already made up and the same wires were clipped off and the rest of the wires were tied back down on the harness, the clipped wires matched the wires in the posted pix lmao. it's just one thing to check if ya buy one off ebay. was off a guys evo 3.

The 2001 relocated the ECU to the center and the wiring is completly different than the 2000 and under.

ok so it's in the center, the 2000 sedan is in the center. you keep saying it's different they both wire up the same. whether it's a safc or e manage.

need to clear up what i mean by the same in the above statment. they hook up to the same wires but the wires may be in a different pin location on the ecu plugs. thats why it's a must to research ecu plugs. if it wasn't for Zack finding the right wiring diagram for the ecu i might be still tryin to wire up the damn thing.
