Looks good, congrats on the new purchase. I have been considering an outlander myself but I don't know how I feel about the newer generations.

Had the same issue, I removed the intake manifold and cleaned it up as much as I could and even that didn't work. Eventually I just replaced the entire IM with one from the junkyard and that worked.

Re: Outlander to Airtrek Conversion
Nice build man. How much do you think it's going to cost for the Evo conversion? There's a guy in Canada "Doncarbone on evolutionm that did a 4G69 swap to a 2003 Lancer. I think he also just completed an AWD conversion on that same Lancer using parts from the Outlander. I'm interested in this, hopef...

Re: Possible Power/charging issue
As Gabzor said a cheap multimeter will give the voltage readings needed to diagnose better. The alt may be ony 1.5 years old but rebuilt Alts are notorious for failing unless done correctly. You can get a cheap-o meter for less than $10 and that will provide all the readings necessary for that port...

Re: Possible Power/charging issue
those dimming issues are semi normal for almost every mirage tbh (not sure about the lancers since the chassis is different) the transmission issue, i have no idea.. but i'd say you have a weak alternator, and you should really look into upgrading your grounds big 3 or big 4 at least.. will help th...

Possible Power/charging issue
I have been trying to figure out what's causing this issue. This issue has been around for about 3 months or so. Any and all feedback/help will be appreciated. Symptoms -headlights become dim when brake pedal is depressed -headlights dim at random moments while driving ( a sort of flicker however, t...

Fixed this a while back. Just required a coolant flush and has been running perfectly fine for about a month or so.

Very nice, been thinking about getting a Subaru. The car looks and sounds great! Thanks! Do it! You won't regret it. I love mine! Yeah thinking about a WRX, the only thing I believe is that the rear seat room is a little less than what Mitsubishi offers excluding the Mirage. However, it does make u...

Lancer/Mirage suspension issue
I have been reading and researching online about similarities between the 02-03 Lancer & 97-01 Mirages. There is some speculation that these generations share suspension parts, specifically shocks/struts & springs. Ultimately, I would like to run Konis & GCs as my suspension setup for my 2003 Lancer...

I really like the 16s more, it's pretty much the same I feel about the Lancer.

Re: Suspension Issues
Hey *Rug* long time. I think Gabzor might be onto something when he mentions the order of the bushings. Probably double check that?
Not suggesting you don't know what you're doing but sometimes we tend to skip the really simple things that can go wrong.

Re: Cooling Issue
I pretty much put it back the same it was when removed. Stopped overheating for a few weeks and came back a couple days ago. Now I'm wondering if the radiator is clogged or the actual connector for the sender is bad. It's just very picky about when it happens now. Probably once every 2 weeks or so. ...

I suspected t he sender and not necessarily the sensor but replaced them both, along with my thermostat. Everything is all good for now.

Cooling Issue
2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0L 4 Cylinder I have been having an issue with my car where the cooling fan is always running. As long as the car has power (key turned to "ON" position) the fans will come on. Turned out to be a common problem with this generation Lancer. I went ahead and replaced the Co...

I tried swapping out the the master lock and the problem was still there. Now I'm guessing it's in the wiring. Any further assistance will be appreciated.Evo666 wrote:Possibly the master door lock has malfunctioned.
